Last Updated: May 28, 2026

Welcome to LibraryMedicine. This website, located at librarymedicine.com (the "Site"), is owned and operated by Ikaze Inc. ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing the Site, registering an account, or subscribing to our paid membership tiers, you ("User," "Member," "Subscriber," or "You") agree to be bound by the following comprehensive Terms of Service.
If you do not agree to all provisions within this document, you must immediately discontinue use of the Site.
1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility
By browsing the Site or creating an account, you affirm that:
  • You possess the legal capacity to enter into a binding contractual agreement.
  • You are a licensed healthcare professional, medical resident, medical student, or an individual engaged in academic medical research.
  • You will use the platform in strict compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws.
2. Description of Service & Educational Limitation
LibraryMedicine operates as a specialized digital educational archive providing curated medical article summaries, clinical notes, surgical protocols, and diagnostic frameworks.
As detailed in our Medical Disclaimer, all content on this platform is for informational and reference purposes only. It does not constitute clinical medical advice. Healthcare practitioners are required to exercise independent clinical judgment and verify all medical guidelines, drug interactions, and pediatric dosages before clinical application.
3. Account Registration, Responsibilities, and Security
A. Registration Integrity
To access specific categories or premium tiers, you must register a user account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and truthful information during the registration process.
B. Credential Confidentiality & Sharing Ban
Your membership subscription is strictly assigned to you as an individual.
  • Sharing account usernames, passwords, or login links with colleagues, students, or institutional third parties is fundamentally prohibited.
  • You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
C. Fraud Detection Protocols
LibraryMedicine employs automated monitoring tools to track concurrent active sessions, IP addresses, and unusual database access patterns. Unauthorized credential sharing or suspicious system activity will trigger an automatic security flag, resulting in immediate, non-refundable account suspension pending administrative review.
4. Intellectual Property & Acceptable Use Policy
A. Ownership Rights
All proprietary text, article syntheses, site layouts, design graphics, software script frameworks, and logos hosted on the Site are the exclusive intellectual property of LibraryMedicine and Ikaze Inc., protected under international copyright and trademark laws.
B. Limited License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access, view, and read the platform content for personal academic study or clinical reference. Users on authorized tiers may download specified PDFs solely for offline personal clinical lookup.
C. Strict Prohibitions
You explicitly agree not to:
  1. Copy, republish, distribute, mirror, modify, or commercially exploit any content from LibraryMedicine without explicit prior written authorization from us.
  2. Use automated scrapers, data-mining software, spiders, or extraction bots to systematically harvest text database files, summaries, or charts from this platform.
  3. Attempt to bypass, disable, or defeat any security or digital rights management protocols protecting our intellectual property database.
5. Financial Terms, Membership Tiers, and Billing Cycles
By selecting and purchasing a subscription tier, you authorize our secure third-party payment gateways to charge the recurring fees associated with your chosen plan:
  • The Library Pass (Monthly): Billed automatically on a recurring monthly cycle.
  • The Medicine Pass (Quarterly): Billed automatically on a recurring three-month cycle.
  • The LibraryMedicine Pass (Annual): Billed automatically on a recurring twelve-month cycle.
A. Automatic Renewal & Cancellation
All subscriptions renew automatically at the end of their respective billing cycle unless canceled by the user. You can cancel your subscription renewal at any time directly through your User Dashboard. Upon cancellation, your premium features will remain active until the conclusion of your current paid billing cycle.
B. Finality of Purchases & No-Refund Policy
Due to the immediate digital delivery and downloadable nature of our intellectual property databases, all processed membership payments are final and non-refundable.
6. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LibraryMedicine, its founder Dr. Emmanuel Hirwa Bakunda, its parent firm Ikaze Inc., and its content contributors shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, or clinical liabilities (including personal injury or medical malpractice claims) arising out of your access to, use of, or reliance on the educational literature summaries hosted on the Site.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LibraryMedicine and Ikaze Inc. from and against any claims, losses, or legal costs resulting from your violation of these Terms or your clinical application of the site's contents.
7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service shall be governed by, interpreted, and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Rwanda, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute or legal claim arising from or relating to these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Kigali, Rwanda.
8. Modifications to the Service and Terms
We reserve the right to modify, pause, or update our platform offerings or revise these Terms of Service at any time.
