I am currently in my final year of medical studies at the University of Rwanda, engaged in my senior clerkship rotations—Ob/Gyn at CHUB, as well as Surgery and Pediatrics at CHUK. Prior to this, I completed rotations across a broad spectrum of specialties, including Emergency Room, anesthesiology, radiology, ENT, dermatology, ophthalmology, palliative care at Butaro, community medicine at Rwinkwavu, and psychiatry at Ndera. Consequently, I have gained a comprehensive perspective on medicine from multiple angles, rather than from a single specialty. Beyond hospital practice, I have experienced various roles such as a medical data annotator with Intron Health—where I was ranked among the top 10 for accuracy—and a research data enumerator with Ethical Research Solutions. Additionally, I have received practical laboratory training in techniques such as PCR, spectrophotometry, and aseptic procedures, complemented by completing Stanford University’s "Writing in the Sciences" course. It was during this course that I seriously began to focus on medical writing. My intention is to produce content that is practical and straightforward, emphasizing clinical skills such as cardiovascular and respiratory examinations, the process of diagnostic reasoning, and lessons tailored for medical students and young physicians practicing in low-resource settings like Rwanda. The focus is on applicable knowledge that extends beyond textbook theory, directly supporting clinical practice at the bedside.
